Terms of Service

Welcome to LearnFI. By downloading, installing, or using the LearnFI mobile application ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

LearnFI is an educational mobile application that provides personal finance lessons, quizzes, interactive games, an AI tutor, and progress tracking. The App is operated by Ludovico Cruciotti ("we", "us", "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use LearnFI. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Accounts

To use most features, you must create an account using your email address, Google account, or Apple ID. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information
  • Keeping your password secure
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions

LearnFI offers a free tier and a Premium subscription with the following plans:

  • Monthly: €5.99 per month
  • Annual: €39.99 per year (44% savings)

Premium subscriptions:

  • Are billed through your Apple ID via the App Store
  • Auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Can be managed or cancelled in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Are non-refundable except where required by law
  • Begin charging immediately upon purchase

Free trials, when offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

5. Permitted use

You may use LearnFI for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through the AI chat or feedback forms
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, paywalls, or security measures
  • Resell, redistribute, or make the App available to third parties
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the App
  • Submit content that infringes intellectual property rights

6. AI Tutor (FinAI)

LearnFI's AI tutor is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. AI responses are generated automatically and:

  • Are for educational purposes only
  • Are NOT financial advice
  • Should NOT be used to make actual investment, tax, legal, or financial decisions
  • May contain errors or inaccuracies
  • Are subject to daily limits on the free tier

You agree that LearnFI is not responsible for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content.

7. Not financial advice

LearnFI is an educational tool. All content in the App — including lessons, quizzes, AI responses, simulators, and certificates — is for educational purposes only. LearnFI does NOT provide:

  • Financial advice
  • Investment advice
  • Tax advice
  • Legal advice
  • Recommendations to buy, sell, or hold any specific security or asset

Always consult a licensed professional before making financial decisions.

8. Intellectual property

All content in LearnFI — lessons, quizzes, course structure, design, code, branding, and trademarks — is owned by LearnFI and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

9. User content

When you submit content (AI questions, feedback, quiz answers), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content to operate and improve the App. You retain ownership of your content.

10. Certificates

LearnFI certificates, awarded after passing the final exam, are personal achievements and have no formal accreditation. They do not constitute professional certification or licensing in any jurisdiction.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the in-app Profile screen. Account deletion is immediate and permanent.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that harms the service or other users.

12. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEARNFI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR FINANCIAL DECISIONS MADE BASED ON APP CONTENT.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Italy.
